Cowley County Genealogical Library

            The Cowley County Genealogical Library is located in the Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum, 31639 US 77, Arkansas City, KS 67005.  The library houses photos, Cowley County records, area newspaper obituaries,  birth, death and marriage records, reference materials, the Robert Docking collection and much, much more.

The Geneology Library contains many official records from 1890 - present.   The library is equipped with wireless internet and a computer for customer use.    Newspapers and photos are currently being scanned and indexed by areas of interest for publishing on this site.

The museum will be sponsoring a Beginning Genealogy Class on Saturday, April 20th, 1:00 p.m. at the musem.   Charge for this event is $5.00 and use of the library is free on that date.  Members have unlimited usage of the items in the geneology library.
