Honorable N.M. Iverson, Jr. was appointed Municipal Court Judge in January 1990 by City Manager Curtis Freeland.
Judge Iverson grew up in Arkansas City, graduating from Arkansas High School in 1964 and Southwestern College in 1968. After graduating from Washburn University School of Law in 1972, Judge Iverson entered private practice of law in the family practice of Iverson & Iverson PA. Judge Iverson has practiced in Arkansas City since that date.
Judge Iverson has served on numerous Kansas attorney boards, including the Kansas Ethics Advisory Committee, for over ten years.
Judge Iverson heads up the Municipal Court team that includes Tamara Niles, City Attorney, Kim Waldrop, Municipal Court Manager/Probation Officer and Marilynn Herrill, Deputy Court Clerk.
Judge Iverson affirms that his goal is to treat all individuals in a fair and consistent manner, regardless of race, sex, origin, or their financial abilities.
