Hodges accused of battery after allegedly inflicting victim with neck wound

Arkansas City Police Department badgeARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (March 17, 2020) The Arkansas City Police Department cited an Arkansas City woman March 16 for battery after contacting a victim with a neck injury she had allegedly inflicted.

Champagne Hodges, 36, was cited for misdemeanor battery through Arkansas City Municipal Court.

The Arkansas City Fire-EMS and Police departments were dispatched March 16 to 1316 S. Summit St. for a report of a victim with a self-inflicted injury, but learned later that the injury was not self-inflicted.

The victim, a 61-year-old female, was treated for the small injury to her neck at the scene.

After investigation, Hodges was identified as a suspect and issued a citation.
