Standard Traffice Ordinance (STO)

Traffic violations in the City of Arkansas City are enforced using the Standard Traffic Ordinance (STO). The city adopted the 2024 Standard Traffic Ordinance by reference through Ordinance No. 2024-11-4625 on November 5, 2024.

This 51st Edition of the Standard Traffic Ordinanace (STO) incorporated by reference under the provisions of K.S.A.12-0339 through 12-3012, and K.S.A. 12-3301 and 12-3302. The STO has been published by the League of Kansas Muncipaliites (LKM) since 1960.

Uniform Public Offense Code (UPOC)

Non-traffic offenses in the City of Arkansas City are enforced using the Uniform Public Offense Code (UPOC). The city adopted the 2024 Uniform Public Offense Code (UPOC) by reference through Ordinance No. 2024-11-4626 on November 5, 2024.

This 40th Edition of the UPOC has been incorporated by reference under the provisions of K.S.A. 12-3009 through 12-3012, and K.S.A. 12-3301 and 12-3302. The UPOC has been published by the League of Kansas Muncipalities (LKM) since 1980.
